Chapter 3: 2022
Every year, there's always narratives on how this year is better than the previous year, compiling moments of learning, giving thanks for the improvement from the previous year. It's quite cliché when you think about it.
If the theme for 2020 was stepping out of the comfort zone and 2021 was about taking big risks and standing up for what you believe in, so you won't regret it later, then 2022 is about having a grand picture and being responsible for yourself.
*In this chapter, I won't break down every valuable event; I will just share the concept of one or two things that helped me throughout the year.
Chapter Infinity: Polish Your Shoes, Create a Reflection
This is a story about one ordinary morning that gave me a reflection that would stay with me for the next 500 years..
Untitled opinion about ________ (fill the blank)
" The last stars will die out 120 trillion years from now, followed by 10^106 years of just black holes.
Condensed, that's like the universe starting with 1 second of stars and then a billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billion, billon years of just black holes.
Stars are basically the immediate after-effect of the Big bang. A one-second sizzle of brightness before settling into eternal darkness.
We live in that one bright second. "
Chapter 2: 2021
Space is Where We Go: Reasons Why We Go to Space While the Earth is on Fire
Space is limitless, and it inspired me since I was a kid. But every time I'm in the zone & explaining how amazing space is, there must be someone asking "Going to the space is expensive, why don't we just tackle all the problems here on Earth since it's more urgent and do that space thing later?". I've seen this question everywhere too, from YouTube comments section to the internet forum. It's an acceptable extremely logical question, and to answer this we need to have broader view about our society and the risk we're facing. Humans are born to be explorer, do you want to be caveman forever?
